Examining Centralized In-vehicle architectures: Finding the Sweet Spot for the Infrastructure Bandwidth

Event: InCabin USA

| Session Date: Thursday 23rd May

Director of Business Development and System Solutions,

There is an interplay of requirements between the three main elements of an ADAS/AD system – the sensor, the ECU, and the SerDes connecting between them. The growing resolutions of the sensors, for example, forces higher bandwidth requirements on the SerDes, while the SoCā€™s demand for sensor fusion has implications on the amount and type of sensors spread across the vehicle. This session will review the growing requirements of the ADAS system elements – cameras, radars, LiDARs and SOCs. We will also address the resulting requirements imposed on the SerDes connectivity solution including bandwidth, EMC, frequency, link distance, time synchronization and fast boot.
