For InCabin sensing, use of traditional RGB-IR and Radar can meet minimum thresholds for Distracted & Drowsy Drivers as well as Child Presence Detection. However, recent advances in sensors (Camera, Radar, LiDAR, Intoxication…) and software are enabling both significant performance improvements and end user acceptance. Integration of these sensors and/or software at the component level, sensor level, and/or system level (fusion) improve resolution and field of view while also enabling reduction in sensor size leading to lower total cost. Our round table will discuss these recent advances and how they enable new use cases of value to the end customer.
