De-Risking NCAP2026: A Scalable MiL–SiL–HiL-Vehicle Pipeline for ADAS Compliance

InCabin

Presentation

NCAP2026 introduces expanded scenario-based protocols and tighter performance thresholds for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). Meeting these requirements necessitates an integrated verification chain spanning model-in-the-loop (MiL), software-in-the-loop (SiL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HiL). This presentation details a DYNA4-based workflow that executes NCAP2026 test catalogs directly against sensor models, embedded code, and production-intent ECUs. Emphasis is placed on automated generation of scenario libraries from NCAP2026 specifications, parameter-swept Monte Carlo testing, real-time vehicle dynamics and sensor simulation, and closed-loop integration with perception and control stacks. We also address latency budgeting, bus-level I/O over CAN/FlexRay/Ethernet, reproducibility of time-synchronized data streams, and traceability to requirements via ASAM-compliant metadata. Benchmark results show how this regime uncovers edge-case non-compliance earlier and shortens iteration cycles. Attendees will gain concrete methods for implementing a scalable, standards-aligned MiL–SiL–HiL pipeline to de-risk NCAP2026 certification of complex ADAS functions.
