This tutorial reviews the common sensors used in Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS) and presents several machine learning approaches we are developing for driver attention analysis. Particular emphasis is placed on eye-gaze mapping using wearable and remote devices, including a comparison of their accuracy, as well as facial landmark detection using thermal imaging.
