CEO and Co-Founder
Joel Pazhayampallil is co-founder and CEO of BlueSpace and has led the engineering, research, and development of an entirely new paradigm for autonomous vehicle technologies, featuring universal perception independent of training data, annotations, or preloaded object classifications. Along with autonomous driving in GPS-denied environments, the method significantly reduces the cost and complexity and increases the safety of autonomous driving. Joel was previously founder of Drive.ai, which he founded with lab mates from Stanford University, where he raised $77M in venture funding and served in various management, engineering, and business roles across the company. He was named to the 2018 Forbes 30 Under 30 list, and he was a key member of the Autonomous Driving and Active Safety Team at General Motors, which deployed the Super Cruise autonomy feature on the 2018 Cadillac CT6, the world’s first hands-free highway self-driving system.
