Anuj Kapuria

Mr. Anuj Kapuria is the founder & CEO of Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz and The Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz.

He has been a Postgraduate researcher at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), Pittsburgh P.A. and during his PhD, which he dropped out of, he successfully executing projects in the field of 3D Object Recognition, Autonomous Vehicles, Terrain Mapping and Face Recognition. He was associated with prestigious DARPA Grand Challenge, the seminal race of autonomous vehicles among other projects including Mars rover project by NASA. He has also been a part of several US Defence Projects. He has also held the position of adjunct fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, Robotics Institute.

Having been a prolific roboticist, with research interests spanning autonomous navigation, computer vision, Artificial intelligence (AI)/ Machine learning (ML);
He has authored more than 10 international original research publications in highly regarded international conferences with each having received more than 150 academic citations.

He has also filed more than 100 international patents with more than 60 having been granted in USA, EU, South Africa and India, in the field of robotics, computer vision, AI and machine learning.

He founded Novus Hi-Tech Robotic Systemz, a pioneer company in the field of Autonomous & driver assistive systems, AI based fleet operational optimization and intelligent robotic automation using transformative AI, Computer Vision and Autonomous Mobility Solutions.

Starting from defence and being the backbone technology for most of unmanned ground vehicle systems in the country, THRS has also become the leader in ‘Autonomous’ & ‘Driver Assistance Systems’ suitable for trucks, cars and buses across all levels of autonomy (L0-L4). Their driver monitoring systems are being used by most of the CV maker in the country, they have over 6 billion kms of Indian driving data analysed. Their patented technology platform powers various autonomous robotic solutions for factories, warehouse & road logistics, helping industry in increasing overall safety, productivity and efficiency.
