Deputy Director
Dr Cyriel Diels has a background in psychology and working in the field of automotive and transport human factors and design in both academia and industry. He is Deputy Director of the Intelligent Mobility Design Centre (IMDC) at the Royal College of Art (RCA) leading research at the intersection between people, mobility and technology. His main interests are in people-centred design of future mobility experiences including motion discomfort in automated vehicles, inclusive design, and data-informed-design exploring the relative impact of design characteristics on journey experiences.
