Technical Project Lead & Specialist Lighting
Ryan Winczewski is an accomplished Lighting Technology Leader and the Lead Architect for Lighting Systems at Varroc, a global Tier-1 automotive supplier. With over a decade of experience in designing various lighting applications for the automotive industry, Ryan has a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions that meet state-of-the-art technology trends, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
In his current role, Ryan is responsible for designing and developing advanced lighting systems and control units for a wide range of vehicles, from two-wheelers and passenger cars to commercial trucks. He collaborates closely with Varroc’s global cross-functional teams that have business unit experts in Lighting, Control Units, Driver Monitoring, and other Sensing applications to ensure that the systems are designed to the highest standards. Throughout his career, Ryan has supported various suppliers with lighting-related electronics for major automotive companies such as Ford, General Motors, Stellantis, Tesla, Rivian, and many more.
Before joining Varroc, Ryan held Senior Electrical Engineering and Technical Business Development Segment Lead positions at OSRAM, OSRAM-Continental, Novita, and EBW. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University with an emphasis in Physical Phenomena and Optoelectronics. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys restoring classic cars, hiking, soccer, and exploring history and the great outdoors with his family.
