Sharath Reddy

Sharath Reddy is Senior Vice President of Corporate Research
and Development (R&D) at Magna, where he leads the company’s
global R&D strategy across electrification, software-defined
vehicles, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS),
lightweighting and advanced manufacturing. He is focused on
accelerating product innovation, advancing strategic partnerships
and ensuring Magna’s future technologies meet the evolving
needs of automakers and consumers.
Mr. Reddy brings more than 35 years of experience in automotive electronics, with deep
expertise in systems engineering, product development and integration. Since joining Magna in
2019, he has held key leadership roles including Senior Vice President of Magna Electronics,
where he successfully led the integration of Veoneer Active Safety and helped expand the
company’s ADAS portfolio.
Prior to Magna, he served as Vice President of the ADAS Portfolio at ZF (TRW) and held various
technical leadership positions at Aptiv (Delco Electronics). His background spans the
development of ADAS, airbag ECUs and body/RF electronics, with a career marked by
technological excellence and strategic foresight.
Leveraging his previous experience, Sharath is bringing systems thinking to speed up Magna’s
innovation pipeline. Mr. Reddy holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from
Villanova University and Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering from
Osmania University in India.
