Lance de Groot

Lance de Groot is the technology manager of the Safety Critical Systems team in Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division. In this role, he provides strategic direction for the technology roadmap and leads the development of Hexagon’s software positioning engine for functionally safe GNSS/INS positioning. Lance joined Hexagon │ NovAtel in 2008 and has worked on a variety of projects including ground reference receivers for SBAS networks, high-precision positioning and relative alignment algorithms for commercial applications, and safety-critical software for autonomous applications. Lance holds a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Geomatics Engineering from the University of Calgary.
