“Our first event in Barcelona last October was a stand-out success. With well over 1000 registrants visiting Catalunya, and nearly 100 exhibitors on the show floor, it was Sense Media’s biggest ever conference, and give us a great foundation to grow from here in Spain”, said Robert Stead, Managing Director of Sense Media and founder of the events. “The collaboration with STA really helped us to engage with the automotive sector in Spain, resulting in several companies exhibiting for the first time and benefitting from engagement with the huge number of visiting engineers and experts. We look forward to building on these relationships, and continuing to work with STA for mutual benefit.
To be hosted at the iconic Palau de Congressos, taking over the whole building for 3 days of technical presentations, discussions with experts, extensive networking, and a large exhibition with over 100 companies showcasing the latest innovations in ADAS, autonomous vehicles, and in-cabin technologies, the co-located AutoSens and InCabin events will bring close to €3.0m of investment to the region. “With the refurbishments taking place at the FIRA in 2026, we’ll be moving to a new venue next year, La Fraga, so we’re delighted to be staying in Barcelona and have plans to grow the audience further into adjacent technical niches, bringing more benefits to STA members here in Spain.”.
The conference agenda will include Keynote presentations from:
- Pedro Da Silva Coutinho de Almeida, Head of Department – In Cabin Monitoring, Volkswagen
- Javier Ibanez-Guzman, Corporate Expert on Autonomous Systems, Renault
- Guillermo Nigorra Pascual, Head Whole Vehicle Requirements and Function Validation, SEAT Cupra
- Adriano Palao, Technical Manager, Euro NCAP
The full Agenda for InCabin was announced this week, see here for more details.
“It was great to work with Sense Media last year, and we saw a number of STA members benefit from joining the event for the first time, whether as exhibitors or delegates. There is lots of potential to enhance this relationship and maximise the engagement and value the Spanish automotive sector gains from AutoSens and InCabin. Catalunya is the perfect location, with major players such as Seat, VW, Ficosa, Panasonic, Marelli, Lear, Magna, Applus, Idneo, Motherson and many more established here for many years, employing a significant workforce and driving revenue and investment for the region.”, said Jose Manuel Barrios, President of the STA association.
“Supporting AutoSens and InCabin in 2025 and beyond will help augment connections for Spanish businesses to the global supply chain.”.
Members of STA throughout the whole of Spain are offered an exclusive discount on attendance fees for the conference, STA will be a sponsor at the event, and members are encouraged to make the most of special rates if they also get involved as sponsor or exhibiting companies.
Between the co-located events, an expected 1200 attendees will travel from across Europe, plus further afield including USA, Korea, Japan, China, Israel, India and other locations as the events bring together the full supply chain to benefit from face-to-face interactions and collaborative discussions to help solve shared problems, and work towards safer cars and roads.
