Your vehicle sensors know more about roads than operating agencies do. How should this new ecosystem evolve?

Tuesday 10th June 2025 | 10am – 1pm | Room 140 C-D

Approximately 5% of U.S. vehicles are connected, sharing data on position, speed, and more, with advanced models also reporting on acceleration, braking, and, in some cases, battery levels.

This tutorial with Darcy Bullock, will explore how anonymised connected vehicle data benefits automakers, agencies, and the public, enhancing road safety and efficiency, with real-world examples from across the country.

Is image enhancement what we need for AI-based perception?

Tuesday 10th June 2025 | 2pm – 5pm | Room 140 C-D

Through presentations, case studies, and group discussions, this interactive workshop with Valentina Donzella will explore the role of image quality, enhancement, and machine learning-based perception in Assisted and Automated Driving (AAD).

This tutorial will examine the impact that traditional image quality metrics, as well as noise factors like lighting, weather, and obstructions, have on machine learning tasks like detection and segmentation.
